Echoes of the Past To Have Fall Festival Oct. 14, 15
News Release
CLAYPOOL — The Echoes of the Past are planning their fall festival for Friday, Oct. 14, and Saturday, Oct. 15.
Wet and soggy conditions forced the Echoes to cancel their annual fall festival last year, and club members are crossing their fingers that the weather cooperates to host the event on those dates. The festival will be at the corner of County Farm Road and CR 700S at Claypool.
Activities will kick off on Friday at 4 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m. On Saturday, the event will begin at noon and continue until 9 p.m.
During the event, a horse-drawn wagon will give rides throughout the grounds. Kids’ activities, including a tractor driving experience, will be available throughout the day. Pumpkins will be given to the kids on a first-come, first-served basis until gone.
The club asks that a limit of one pumpkin per child is observed in order to serve more children. The corn maze is standing ready for those who dare to give it a try. The haunted hayride will begin each day at 4 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m.
Food will be served during the festival by Beaver Dam United Methodist Church’s Wheels on Fire-Cancer Crusaders with proceeds going to benefit local cancer patients. A menu of pork burgers, sloppy Joes, hot dogs, ham and beans (Friday) and chili (Saturday) will be served for patrons of the event to enjoy.
The club will also collect toys during the event for its Cram the Tram Toys for Tots drive.
