Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 8:31 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, East CR 550N, near North CR 100E, Leesburg. Driver: Zachary M. Husband, 25, Chamberlin Drive, South Bend. Husband was traveling north on CR 100E when his vehicle left the roadway on the curve at East CR 550N. His vehicle hit a road sign and a utility pole before overturning. A passenger in Husband’s vehicle, Juniper A. Masterson, 19, Warsaw, complained of knee pain and was checked by medics at the scene. Masterson said she would seek further treatment at a local hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
- 8:12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, West SR 14, east of South CR 450W, Silver Lake. Driver: Robert D. Greer, 59, South CR 700W, Silver Lake. Greer was traveling west on West SR 14 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 2:47 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, West SR 25, east of South CR 700W, Mentone. Drivers: Joetta Burrous, 71, Bartol Drive 7, Warsaw; and Gary R. McDaniel, 66, West SR 25, Mentone. Burrous was traveling west on West SR 14 when she hit McDaniel’s vehicle. McDaniel was backing his vehicle out of a driveway to pull back onto his property. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
- 5:17 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, West CR 1350N, west of North CR 600W, Warsaw. Drivers: Thomas M. McDowell, 26, South Harkless Drive, Syracuse; and Kevin D. Herschberger, 53, West CR 1350N, Nappanee. Herschberger was stopped eastbound on CR 1350N and was waiting to turn into a driveway when he was rear-ended by McDowell’s vehicle. McDowell complained of pain to his lower abdomen and hip area. Herschberger sustained facial injuries in the collision. Damage up to $50,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:20 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, South Detroit Street, near East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Mario Duran, 31, East Winona Avenue, Warsaw; and Antolin P. Medina, 45, Eisenhower Parkway, Warsaw. Duran was traveling north on South Detroit Street when he rear-ended Medina’s vehicle. Medina, who was driving a bus, stopped at a railroad crossing prior to the collision occurring. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 6:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, US 30, near Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Ethan T. Rubio, 18, Curtis Street, Osceola; Jawwad A. Syed, 32, Eastpointe Ridge Drive 302, Columbus, Ohio; and Alicia A. Wilkins, 42, Indian Creek Road, Fort Wayne. Rubio was traveling east on US 30 when he rear-ended Syed’s vehicle. This caused Syed’s vehicle to rear-end Wilkins’ vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 2:16 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, West Center Street, west of Friend Street, Warsaw. Driver: Austyn J. McCord, 20, West CR 100S 23, Warsaw. McCord was backing his vehicle from an alley when his vehicle hit a parked vehicle owned by John F. Kenyon, Warsaw. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:07 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, West CR 200S, near South Dwight Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Melissa L. Eccles, 31, West CR 250S, Warsaw; and Kimberly G. Crosby, 39, Salman Drive, Warsaw. Eccles was traveling east on East CR 200S when she rear-ended Crosby’s vehicle. Eccles complained of foot pain and was checked by medics at the scene. Crosby’s vehicle was stopped in order to turn onto South Dwight Drive. Damage up to $25,000.
- 11:57 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, North SR 15, near West CR 250N, Warsaw. Drivers: Paul A. Malecki, 61, West SR 8, LaCrosse; and Kaye L. Fehr, 66, Sandpoint Drive, Warsaw. Malecki was preparing to turn right off of North SR 15 when he hit Fehr’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 5:02 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, Roy Street, near Faunn Street, Winona Lake. Drivers: Charity M. Brock, 48, South Old SR 15, Warsaw; and Cindy M. Norman, 62, West CR 100S, Warsaw. Norman was traveling west on Roy Street and was approaching the intersection of Faunn Street when Brock, who was traveling north on Faunn Street, hit her vehicle. Brock said she stopped at the intersection but did not see Norman’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
