Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 7:03 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, South Packerton Road, south of East CR 600S, Claypool. Driver: Grace T. Prater, 18, West SR 14, Silver Lake. Prater’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage: Up to $5,000.
- 6:49 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, East Backwater Road, west of North CR 950E, North Webster. Driver: Angela M. McClellan, 47, South Mellwood Park Drive, Kimmell. McClellan swerved to miss a deer, and her vehicle went off the road and hit a sign post. Damage: Up to $10,000.
- 12:42 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, South CR 600W, south of West CR 900S, Claypool. Driver: Austin J. Smith, 28, South CR 100E, Claypool. Smith reached down to grab a piece of paper that was blowing around. His vehicle went off the road and hit a pole. Damage: Up to $25,000.
- 4:13 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, East Wells Street, east of North Jefferson Street, Silver Lake. Driver: Shaun Mudd, 43, Mentone. Mudd was responding to a call in his KCSO vehicle. He didn’t see a boat trailer near where the call was, and his vehicle hit the taillight of the trailer, cracking the lens. Damage: Up to $2,500.
- 3:12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, North SR 15 and West Monoquet Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Roberta B. Thiesen, 73, East Market Street, Warsaw; and Kody E. Cowart, 25, North SR 15, Warsaw. Thiesen’s vehicle hit the back of Cowart’s vehicle. Damage: Up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 9:37 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, North SR 15, north of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Nayeli R. Robles-Flores, 22, Kuder Lane, Warsaw; and Kevin K. Paul, 55, St. Marys Drive, Warsaw. Robles-Flores said she believed her pathway was clear. Her vehicle hit Paul’s. Robles-Flores said she was pregnant and was having pain in her stomach after the incident. She was to take herself to the hospital to be checked out. Damage: Up to $10,000.
- 11:51 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, SR 15 and East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Charles B. Sleeth, 73, North Tamarack Street, Warsaw; and Rebekah L. Clark, 29, West CR 1000N, Roann. Sleeth believed his light was green. He went into the intersection, with his vehicle hitting Clark’s. Sleeth complained of shoulder pain and was transported to the hospital. Clark had a small cut on her thumb. Damage: Up to $5,000.
- 9:43 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, North Parker Street, north of Husky Trail, Warsaw. Drivers: Michaell A. Jamison, 65, North Second Trail, North Webster; and Maria D. Mohan, 25, East Northshore Drive, Syracuse. Jamison turned into the path of Mohan, causing a collision. Damage: Up to $5,000.
- 11:09 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2307 E. Center St., Warsaw. Driver: Unknown. An unknown vehicle hit a parked vehicle. Damage: Up to $2,500.
