ROCHESTER — The Indiana Department of Transportation recently announced the closure of SR 25 north of Rochester for bridge construction.

Crews will be working on the bridge over Chippewanuck Creek, which is between East CR 300N and East CR 400N, starting on or after Sept. 12. Work is expected to wrap up by the end of November. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

During the closure, drivers should use the approved detour of SR 25, US 31 and SR 110, or seek an alternate route.

INDOT encourages motorists to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction free when traveling in and around all work zones.
