PLYMOUTH — A Culver man who was arrested last week on a child solicitation charge has been found dead in the Marshall County Jail.

According to a statement from the Marshall County Police Department, at 9:07 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, Marshall County jail staff found an inmate that was unresponsive and later pronounced deceased.

The inmate, identified as Kelly Peterson, 53, Culver, was alone in a single-bunk cell at the time. The Indiana State Police were requested to investigate Peterson’s death.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Friday, Sept. 2.
