Echoes Of The Past To Honor Kurt Miller
News Release
CLAYPOOL — Echoes of the Past is to honor the late Kurt Miller through a tractor drive.
The Third Annual Kurt Miller Tractor Drive will take place Saturday, Sept. 10. It will start at 9:30 a.m.
The drive will leave from Miller’s childhood home, located at 8298 W. 600S, Claypool, and make its way through the country, traveling through Mentone before heading back south on CR 1150W. The route will wind its way back down the country roads of Kosciusko County before ending back at its starting point.
Miller was a junior at Tippecanoe Valley High School who died in a freak accident. His love of farming and agriculture, 4-H and FFA, is the driving force behind the Echoes of the Past and the yearly tractor drive.
If there was something farm-related happening, you could find Miller there. Those participating in the drive do so in honor of Miller to carry on his memory.
A freewill lunch follows the drive, with all monies benefitting the memorial fund set up by his parents in his name. A scholarship is given each year to a graduating Tippecanoe Valley High School senior furthering their education in an area of agriculture.
Ice cream will also be sold as a fundraiser for the fund at the drive. New this year is the addition of a T-shirt that was sold prior to the event to help raise funds as well.
Those who would like to participate in the tractor drive or need more information should contact Kyle Miller at 574-377-3947 or check the club website at www.theechoesofthepast.com or the club Facebook page.
