Patsy Hamilton — UPDATED
Patsy R. Hamilton, 92, lifelong resident of Warsaw, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at her home in Warsaw, under hospice care with her family by her side. One of three children, Patsy was born April 1, 1930, the daughter of Charles and Helen Taylor. On Nov. 13, 1965, Patsy married Robert “Bob” Hamilton.
Patsy worked for many years for the Penguin Point franchise and often worked as a lunch lady at Lakeview School when she was available. A great baker, she often served delicious desserts including pumpkin pie and her famous Coon Hunter’s cake. Patsy was an avid bingo, card and dominoes player, and she enjoyed watching Gunsmoke before bed and taking trips to shop for hidden treasures at Goodwill.
Patsy will forever be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother who had such a kind heart and sassy attitude. She will be deeply missed by her children, Michael (Patty) Swope, Janet (Troy) Ousley and Cindy (Tim) Brown; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; children, Randy Swope and Rita Busz; grandson; great-grandson; brothers, John Taylor and Phillip Taylor; and sister, Sharon Jefferson.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services is entrusted with the care of Patsy. Friends and family may gather from 10 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at the funeral home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, will immediately follow.
