Elizabeth White — UPDATED
Elizabeth Ann White, 78, Warsaw, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Known to most as Ann, she was born Jan. 21, 1944, in Crawfordsville. She was one of the two children of Robert and Mary Elizabeth Loop. Ann was a 1962 graduate of Warsaw High School, and went on to get her degree from Hanover College, Madison. After college, she furthered her knowledge with a master’s degree in education from the University of St. Francis, Fort Wayne. On Dec. 22, 1979, she was united in marriage to James White, and they’ve spent 42 years together .
Ann spent 30 years working for Warsaw Community Schools, teaching at Washington and Harrison elementary schools and as a gifted and talented teacher. After she retired, she continued to volunteer with the schools in the library as reading was one of her passions. She also served as a CASA volunteer, advocating for kids in court. Both James and Ann were international travelers, traveling to five of the seven continents. She enjoyed exploring new things and talking to people. While at home, Ann loved to cook and entertain guests. Most of all, she treasured time spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Along with her husband James, those who survive include her children, Robert (Lisa) Musgrave and Beth (Reggie Beehner) Musgrave; grandchildren, Jack Beehner, Gus Beehner, Luke Musgrave, Rebecca Musgrave and Thomas Musgrave; and nephew, James Loop. She is further survived by many cousins and friends. Ann is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dr. William C. Loop.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services is entrusted with the care of Ann. Friends and family may gather from 10 a.m. until the Life Celebration service beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sep. 17, 2022, at the funeral home, 2000 Sheridan St., Warsaw. Burial will take place privately at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
