Debra Wilson
Debra Kay Wilson, 69, Warsaw, died Monday, July 4, 2022, at home in Warsaw. She was born March 4, 1953, in Anderson, the daughter of Mary W. (Walker) and Russell Paul Brown.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bruce C. Wilson, Warsaw; a son, Bruce A. Wilson; a brother, Rusty (Kathryn) Brown, Warsaw; nieces and nephews, Katrina VaNess, California, Josh Brown, Warsaw and Morgan Pettigrew, Warsaw; and siblings, Breanna Brown, Megan Richardson and Deon VanNess. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Debra’s great compassion for others knew no bounds. It was this deep desire to help and uplift that inspired her to pursue a lifelong career in the healthcare field. For over 40 years she worked diligently and tirelessly as a QMA for various medical institutions, striving to improve the lives of those in her care — leading to her longest tenure at Grace Village Assisted Living, from which she ultimately retired. Debra’s profound kindness toward the people around her was exceeded only by her love for her family and friends, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Debra’s life will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 461 West CR 900N, Milford.
