AKRON — All three Tippecanoe Valley School Board incumbents whose seats are up for re-election this fall have filed to run again.
According to the Kosciusko County Clerk’s Office, David Lash, Tom Bauters and Todd Hoffman who currently represent districts 3, 4 and 5 respectively, all filed on Wednesday, July 27, on the first day of the school board filing period ahead of the Nov. 8 general election.
The last day to file is noon Friday, Aug. 26.
Lash represents Franklin Township in Kosciusko County, and Bauters and Hoffman represent Henry and Newcastle townships respectively in Fulton County.
As TVSC encompasses two counties and Kosciusko has the larger population of the two, all TVSC candidates must file for election in Kosciusko whether or not their districts are actually in that county.
If Lash wins reelection, it will be his first full term in office. He replaced Lacey Wise in July 2020 to finish her term after she resigned to take a job as a guidance counselor at Tippecanoe Valley High School. He currently serves as vice president on the board.
Bauters would gain his second term if reelected. He is the current TVSC Board president. Hoffman is trying for his third term on the board.
As of closing time at the clerk’s office on Wednesday, no challengers had filed to run against the three.
