WARSAW — A Leesburg woman has died after a single-vehicle accident in Warsaw over the weekend.

At 3:47 a.m. Sunday, July 17, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on South SR 25, north of South Ferguson Road in Warsaw.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers learned that a black 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee had left the east side of the roadway while traveling south on South SR 25 in a curve. The driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee was Cassandra J. Doerr, 29, Leesburg.

According to an accident report from KCSO, once off the roadway, Doerr’s vehicle hit a utility pole, then rolled multiple times, coming to a rest in a field on its side.

Doerr was ejected from her vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner.

Damages from the accident are estimated up to $25,000.

Responding agencies include Lutheran EMS and Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory.
