Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 10:56 a.m. Sunday, July 17, South SR 25, south of West CR 200S, Warsaw. Driver: Thomas A. Clark, 18, Short Ridge Drive, Warsaw. Clark was traveling north on SR 25 when his vehicle left the roadway and hit several trees. Damage under $1,000.
• 4:59 a.m. Sunday, July 17, Hepler Drive, east of Crescent Drive, Warsaw. Driver: unknown. A vehicle registered to Shelby Jacobs, Cromwell, was traveling north on Hepler Drive when it rear-ended a parked, unoccupied vehicle owned by Brittney J. Underwood, Warsaw. Underwood’s vehicle was then pushed into a parked, unoccupied vehicle owned by Christian M. Renschler, Warsaw. The driver of Jacobs’ vehicle was seen leaving the scene on foot but officers were unable to locate the driver. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $25,000.
• 3:47 a.m. Sunday, July 17, South SR 25, north of South Ferguson Road, Warsaw. Driver: Cassandra J. Doerr, 29, North CR 700E, Leesburg. Doerr’s vehicle left the roadway while traveling south on South SR 25 in a curve. Doerr’s vehicle then hit a utility pole and rolled multiple times, coming to a rest in a field on its side. Doerr was ejected from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.
• 2:04 p.m. Friday, July 15, South SR 13, south of East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Michelle Wunder, 44, North CR 650E, Pierceton. Wunder was traveling north on South SR 13 when her vehicle left the roadway, went down a ditch, hit a utility pole and overturned, coming to a rest on its side. Wunder was taken to a local hospital for a complaint of pain to her elbow and lower arm area. Damage up to $25,000.
• 12:54 p.m. Friday, July 15, North East Wawasee Drive, north of East CR 1250N, Cromwell. Drivers: Travis D. Mickem, 34, EMS W17 Lane, North Webster; and Joshua Cortez-Secundo, 27, Portage Lane, Elkhart. Mickem was traveling east on East CR 1250N when he disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of North East Wawasee Drive. Mickem’s vehicle hit Cortez-Secundo’s. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
• 4:52 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, East US 30, west of East Van Ness Road, Warsaw. Driver: Cameron A. Wolfe, 23, East Wooster Road, Pierceton. Wolfe was traveling west on US 30 when his vehicle hit an object in the roadway, resulting in damage to his vehicle’s front bumper. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
• 6:25 a.m. Monday, July 11, South CR 600W, south of South SR 25, Mentone. Driver: Leah D. Oaks, 31, North West Street, Burket. Oaks was traveling south on South CR 600W when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

• 1:34 p.m. Saturday, July 16, SR 15, near East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kenneth R. Stanton, 51, North Grove Road, Milford; and Porfirio M. Gomora, 40, East Wooster Road 61, Pierceton. Stanton was traveling south on SR 15 and said he entered the intersection at East Fort Wayne Street when Gomora’s vehicle pulled into his path of travel. Gomora said he had a green light and that Stanton ran a red light. Stanton complained of pain to his lower left leg and a headache. Gomora complained of head and neck pain. Damage up to $10,000.
• 10:48 p.m. Friday, July 15, East Winona Avenue, north of South Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Beau A. Marsh, 26, East Broad Street, South Whitley; and Jack M. Anderson, 19, North Village Drive, Leesburg. Marsh was traveling north on South Bronson Street and said he entered the intersection at East Winona Avenue at a green light. Marsh’s vehicle then hit Anderson’s. Anderson, who was traveling west on East Winona Avenue, said his traffic light was green. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
• 4:11 p.m. Friday, July 15, 298 E. 200N, Warsaw. Driver: Destini A. Carpenter, 22, West Union Street, Claypool. Carpenter was attempting to place a child into a vehicle when the child placed her vehicle in drive. This caused the vehicle to go forward into a parked vehicle owned by Breelyn A. Conley, Pierceton. After Conley’s vehicle was hit, it rolled back into a parked bus owned by Growing Kids Management Corp., Mishawaka. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
• 2:26 p.m. Friday, July 15, West SR 25, east of South Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Mikaela J. Crate, 29, East Joshua Drive, Warsaw; and Melinda S. Drang, 46, West CR 200S, Warsaw. Crate was traveling west on West Winona Avenue when she rear-ended Drang’s vehicle. Dang complained of neck and head pain, but refused treatment at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
• 10:35 a.m. Friday, July 15, South McKinley Street, near East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Zachary J. Shoemaker, 25, Clinic Street, Warsaw; and Ann S. Myers, 71, South Packerton Road, Winona Lake. Shoemaker was traveling south on South McKinley Street when he entered the intersection at East Jefferson Street as Myers’ vehicle was passing through. Myers complained of stiffness in her neck. Damage up to $5,000.
