Warsaw High School To Undergo Renovations
Press Release
WARSAW — During a July 13 board meeting, the Warsaw Community Schools’ Board of Trustees approved the continuation of important facility upgrades for Warsaw Community High School.
This project, first initiated in August 2020, continues the corporation’s long-term facilities plan for continuous improvements and updates on all WCS campuses. Through intensive work and pre-planning with Performance Services, WCS was able to stay within the originally approved budget by locking in pricing and timelines.
The current phase of the long-term facilities plan focuses on safety and security with the creation of a main entry into the building as well as important academic enhancements to bring this 30-year-old building into the technology and learning space needed in the 21st century. This WCHS facility update will create increased efficiencies and maximize resources through the realignment of guidance, administrative and departmental locations.
Additionally, traffic flow of students inside of the building is addressed by the creation of new and widened hallways. At the end of this multi-phase project, new HVAC will be installed and renovation to every classroom within the high school will be complete with new technology, carpet, and paint. These projects do not require any tax increases, as they are able to be funded through current tax rates. WCS’ Board of Trustees and WCS administration are thankful for the continued community support and investment which creates a positive impact on the future of all Warsaw students.
Construction projects of this magnitude will cause minor inconveniences. Continue to watch for announcements of needed changes to parking or events. Construction is set to begin in September 2022, with substantial completion slated for late 2024.
