Darrel Bruner
Darrel E. Bruner, 84, rural Silver Lake, died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Mason Health Care, Warsaw.
Darrel was born Dec. 14, 1937, in Warsaw, to the late Lester D. and Neva F. (Julian) Bruner. He married on Oct. 6, 1957, in Silver Lake, to Anita M. Parker; she survives.
He was a 1956 graduate of Silver Lake High School. Darrel had been a lifelong farmer. On the farm, he raised cattle and poultry as well as being a grain farmer. He was also a longtime bus driver for Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation. He was a familiar face in several area restaurants, especially Teel’s and the Akron Mini Mart. Darrel also enjoyed camping and the Chicago Cubs.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Bruner, Silver Lake; daughters, Deb (Scott) Teel, Akron and Paula (Gary) Anglin, El Dorado Springs, Mo.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Darrel was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alton D. Bruner.
Following his wishes, no services will be held at this time.
The arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron.
