48-Hour Rain Total In Fort Wayne Reached Nine Inches

NORTH WEBSTER – While much of northern Indiana has been repeatedly soaked by strong storms in recent days, one part of Allen County saw as much as nine inches of rain in the past two days.
According to a report tracking rainfall over the past 48 hours (ending at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6), the National Weather Service identified one area in Fort Wayne that received 9.1 inches of rain while other reports in the same region saw totals of 6-8 inches.
Rain totals in Elkhart County ranged from 3.8 inches in Goshen to 2 inches on the north side of Syracuse.
Rainfall totals in Kosciusko County were between 3.8 inches (Leesburg) to just over two inches in parts of Warsaw.
