4-H Royalty Crowned, Awards Presented

WARSAW — Alyssa Swanson and Caleb Lechlitner were crowned the 2022 Kosciusko County 4-H Queen and King at the close of the annual public fashion revue and awards night Thursday, June 30. The event was held in the Lakeview Middle School auditorium, Warsaw.
Reese Rowland and Charlie Krull were named the 2022 4-H Princess and Prince.
Swanson is the daughter of Kelley and Eric Rollo. She will be a senior at Warsaw Community High School. Swanson is a ninth-year 4-H’er and a member of the Leesburg Mighty Farmers 4-H Club. Her 4-H projects include rabbits, dairy heifers, rabbit poster, arts and crafts, general, gift wrapping, cake decorating and fine arts. Her future plans include attending Clemson University to study elementary education.
Lechlitner is the son of Fred and Heather Lechlitner. He will be a junior at NorthWood High School. He is an eighth-year 4-H’er and is a member of the Leesburg Mighty Farmers and Kosciusko County 4-H Junior Leaders clubs. His 4-H projects include beef, swine, sheep, consumer grilling, farm toy scene, electric, tractor (lawn & garden mower, zero turn mower, garden tractor), shooting sports, junior leaders and senior achievement – milk and meat production. His future plans include attending Purdue University and majoring in agribusiness management.
Rowland is the daughter of Greg and Kassi Rowland. She will be a senior at Warsaw Community High School. She is a ninth-year 4-H’er and a member of the Leesburg Mighty Farmers 4-H Club and the Kosciusko County Junior Leaders. Her 4-H projects include dairy calf feeder steer, beef and junior leaders. Her future plans include attending Purdue University to study business and retail management.
Krull is the son of Shawn and Lissa Krull. He will be a junior at Wawasee High School. He is an eighth-year 4-H’er and a member of the Milford Helping Hands 4-H Club. His 4-H projects include goats, beef, arts and crafts general, LEGO, junior leaders and blacksmithing. His future plans include attending Purdue University and double majoring in mechanical and electrical engineering technology.
Fashion Revue
The evening also included a fashion revue for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels, along with consumer clothing.

4-H Awards, Presentations
Awards and scholarships were presented to the Friends of 4-H, as individuals and business; 4-H Council Scholarships, Anglin-Bishop Award Winners, Indiana 4-H Foundation Endowment Scholarship and District 10 4-H Scholarships.
Presentations were given for the Top 10 4-H’ers, Farm Bureau Tenure Award and recognition of the Most Influential Volunteers.
Those 4-H’ers completing nine-year, 10-year and last year members were also recognized.
Friends of 4-H Individuals Award were presented to Kay Tusing and Steve and Valerie Tucker. The Friends of 4-H Business Award was presented to Paragon Medical.
4-H Council Scholarship — Arrington Krull, Sydney Petersen, Leina Helfers, Mallory Bowers and Cora Ransbottom.
Anglin-Bishop Scholarship — Leina Helfers and Arrington Krull.
Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship Endowment Award — Jenna Knepp and Sydney Peterson, Creighton Brothers Award; Arrington Krull, Dennis Polk Family 4-H Scholarship Endowment; Leina Helfers, Area X 4-H Account Scholarship.
Farm Bureau Tenure Award — Leina Helfers and Arrington Krull.

Leina Helfers received the 4-H Council Scholarship, Anglin-Bishop Scholarship, Area X 4-H Account Scholarship and Farm Bureau Tenure Award.
Most influential volunteers — Anne Wilson by Amber Beer; Kelly Heckaman by Leina Helfers; Matt Morehouse by Wyatt Haab; Shawn Krull by Arrington Krull; Darren Wilkinson by Jake Wilkinson; Stephanie Stutzman by Bailey Stutzman.
