Man Arrested After Punching Work Supervisor

WARSAW — A man was recently arrested after allegedly punching his work supervisor in the head.
Monte Carlton, 28, Bowling Green, Fla., is charged with battery causing serious bodily injury, a level 5 felony.
On May 20, a Warsaw Police officer went to a local hospital regarding an incident at Dalton Foundry in Warsaw. Upon arrival at the hospital, the officer spoke with a man who was battered.
The man said he works as a supervisor at Dalton Foundry and that he was speaking with Carlton about a task he needed to complete. Carlton told the man he wasn’t going to complete the task, and the supervisor said if he didn’t, there would be a problem.
According to court documents, Carlton became upset and followed the supervisor around while cursing at him. The supervisor then told Carlton to leave. When the supervisor turned his head to talk to another employee, Carlton allegedly punched the supervisor in the head, knocking him to the ground. This caused the supervisor to lose consciousness. Carlton then left the scene.
At the hospital, the supervisor said he had a migraine and was dizzy.
The officer went to Dalton Foundry and spoke with an employee who witnessed the battery. The employee said the supervisor and Carlton had gotten into a confrontation about Carlton doing his work.
The employee witnessed Carlton punch the supervisor twice before kicking him in the head.
Carlton was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 25, with a $10,250 surety and cash bond.
