Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 9:16 p.m. Thursday, June 23, West Old Road 30, west of North CR 875W, Etna Green. Drivers: John E. Mattson, 33, North Lake Street A., Warsaw; and Chantz J. Davidson, 23, Jarrah Road, Plymouth. Davidson said he was traveling west on Old Road 30 when Mattson’s vehicle passed him, cut in front of him, then slammed on his brakes, resulting in a rear-end collision. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 10:38 a.m. Thursday, June 23, South CR 550W, south of West CR 200S, Warsaw. Drivers: Hannah D. Sizemore, 18, West CR 150S, Warsaw; and Paula A. Orozco, 41, West CR 200S, Mentone. Sizemore was traveling south on South CR 550W when she failed to yield the right-of-way to Orozco’s vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and no injuries were reported. Damage up to $25,000.
- 2:05 a.m. Thursday, June 23, South County Farm Road, south of East CR 1000S, Silver Lake. Driver: Quenton J. Clark, 23, North Vacation Way, North Manchester. Clark was traveling south on South County Farm Road when his vehicle left the roadway, entering a ditch. His vehicle then rolled. Clark complained of back pain and sustained minor cuts on his knees and arms. He refused treatment at the scene. Damage up to $10,000.
- 12:09 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 434 W. Railroad St., Etna Green. Driver: unknown. A vehicle registered to Shanda M. Miller, Etna Green, was backed into the corner of a house, damaging the decking at 434 W. Railroad St. The Railroad Street property is owned by Theodore H. Music. The driver who backed the vehicle into the residence left the scene. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
- 10:07 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, East US 30, near East CR 250S, Pierceton. Driver: Bobbie G. Pelfrey, 51, East CR 200N 164B, Warsaw. Pelfrey was traveling west on US 30 when a dog entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 5:43 a.m. Saturday, June 18, East CR 1200S, west of South CR 100E, Silver Lake. Driver: Michelle L. Kral, 45, South Orchard Drive, North Manchester. Kral was traveling east on CR 1200S when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 6:38 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2211 E. Center St., Warsaw. Driver: unknown. A vehicle was parked and unoccupied in the Kroger parking lot when it sustained damage from an unknown driver. Video surveillance from the store showed a white-in-color mini-van, possibly a Dodge Grand Caravan, turning too sharp while attempting to park. The mini-van then hit the parked vehicle and caused damage. Damage up to $10,000.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 6 a.m. Thursday, June 23, CR 250S, west of Kewanna Metals. Vehicle collided with deer.
