Milford Man Leads Officers On Tri-County Pursuit
Press Release
SYRACUSE — A Milford man led officers on a tri-county vehicle pursuit on Thursday, June 16.
Around 5 p.m., law enforcement units were notified of a vehicle potentially containing a wanted subject traveling east on US 30 in western Kosciusko County. The driver was later identified as Randall E. Koth, 47, Milford. Koth was wanted on a warrant in a May burglary and theft case. Additional charges are pending as a result of this pursuit.
An off-duty Kosciusko County deputy sheriff found the Lincoln MKZ at CR 150W. The MKZ subsequently failed to stop for the responding law enforcement officers and a pursuit thereafter ensued.
Koth released two female passengers from the vehicle near CR 200N, before continuing east on US 30 to SR 13. The MKZ traveled north on SR 13 to Old Road 30, causing off-road damage to a cemetery. Koth then led officers to SR 5 and fled from the vehicle after stopping along Epworth Forest Road, west of CR 875E. Following a brief foot chase, Koth was taken into custody in a wooded area.
The pursuit occurred in Kosciusko, Whitley and Noble Counties.
Officers found multiple narcotics inside of the vehicle following the pursuit. Additionally, Koth led investigators to the recovery of items from about 20 burglaries in the Syracuse, North Webster, Milford and Warsaw areas.
This investigation remains ongoing.
Responding agencies include the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Warsaw Police Department, Pierceton Police Department, Indiana State Police, North Webster Police Department, Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, Noble County Sheriff’s Department, Tippecanoe Township Fire Territory, and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
