WARSAW — For massage therapist Angie Holstein, her job is a passion.
“It’s literally like I could eat, sleep, drink, think, breathe, dream massage every day all day,” she said.
The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon-cutting for her business, A.H. Pain Relief Massage, on Thursday, June 16. It’s located at 116 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
Holstein first got into massage by giving one to a friend.
“She said, ‘Wow, you’re really good at that,'” said Holstein.
That would later lead to her going to massage school and getting her license.
Holstein operated her business in Mishawaka for around six to seven years before taking a break, partially related to the COVID-19 pandemic. She then moved her business down to Warsaw about six months ago.
The business is open now by appointment only. Holstein said her hours are generally from 2-7 p.m. on Fridays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. She hopes to expand her hours in the future as she builds her clientele.
Holstein also described what her massage sessions look like. She’ll first assess the client’s needs before using tools such as Himalayan salt stones, a massage gun and cups for the massage.
The cost is $100 for an hour.
