Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 4:27 a.m. Monday, June 6, South SR 25, north of South CR 600W, Mentone. Driver: Craig A. Brosman, 36, South Packerton Road, Winona Lake. Brosman was traveling north on South SR 25 when his vehicle left the roadway, causing damage to landscaping in a yard at 3940 S. SR 25, Mentone. His vehicle then hit a culvert at 3890 S. SR 25, Mentone. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 2:59 p.m. Sunday, June 5, East Armstrong Road, west of North CR 75E, Leesburg. Driver: Donna L. Brubaker, 73, EMS C29A Lane, Warsaw. Brubaker was traveling west on East CR 500N when her vehicle left the roadway and hit a post. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 6:37 p.m. Saturday, June 4, South CR 1000W, south of West CR 1000S, Akron. Drivers: Benjamin C. Smous, 22, Northside Boulevard, South Bend; and Brad L. Rauguth, 64, EMS B40A Lane, Leesburg. Smous was traveling east on West CR 1000S when he came to a complete stop at the intersection of South CR 1000W. However, he did not notice Rauguth’s vehicle traveling south on South CR 1000W, resulting in a collision. Smous complained of rib and head pain. Rauguth complained of arm pain. A passenger in Rauguth’s vehicle, Mohsen H. Panah, 62, Pikeview Drive, Warsaw, complained of leg pain and other minor injuries. Damage up to $25,000.
- 11:33 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 3687 N. Barbee Road, Warsaw. Driver: unknown. Patricia A. Schwartz said her vehicle was hit by an unknown driver while it was parked and unoccupied. Damage up to $2,500.
- 6:09 p.m. Friday, June 3, 306 S. Main St., North Webster. Driver: Tara J. Miller, 41, Cardinal Circle, Plymouth. Miller was traveling west through a parking lot when her vehicle hit support wires on a Nipsco utility pole. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 5:27 p.m. Friday, June 3, East CR 450N, near North CR 175E, Warsaw. Drivers: Debra E. Schisler, 64, East Hatchery Road, Syracuse; and Jacob L. Foster, 24, East CR 350N, Warsaw. Schisler was traveling west on CR 450N and thought she had stopped at a stop sign when she hit Foster’s vehicle. Foster said Schisler did not stop for a stop sign. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 3, South CR 200W, south of West CR 800S, Claypool. Driver: Ronald E. Miller, 90, South CR 200W, Claypool. Miller was traveling north on South CR 200W when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
- 6:59 a.m. Friday, June 3, Lake City Highway, north of Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Barbara M. Steed-Stewart, 62, South Freedom Avenue, Alliance, Ohio; and Elizabeth A. Stewart, 67, East Tulip Tree Drive, Warsaw. Steed-Stewart was traveling east in the eastbound lane of Lake City Highway when she entered the intersection at a red light and hit Stewart’s vehicle. Steed-Stewart said she had a glare from the sun being in her eyes. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 6:36 a.m. Friday, June 3, West CR 200S, near South CR 550W, Warsaw. Driver: Brandy E. Hooley, 41, South Arnold Street, Roann. Hooley was traveling east on CR 200S when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 4:50 a.m. Friday, June 3, West CR 400N, west of North CR 700W, Warsaw. Driver: Ruby A. Miller, 25, North Hasse Court, Syracuse. Miller was traveling west on West CR 400N when a pony entered the roadway. One of the pony’s legs was injured as a result. Damage up to $5,000.
- 5:29 p.m. Thursday, June 2, North CR 100E, north of East CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Luis F. Rivera-Flores, 31, West Grand Avenue Unit 12, Franklin Park, Ill.; and Edward J. Yuker, 67, EMS W17 Lane, North Webster. Rivera-Flores was traveling north on North CR 100E when when he sideswiped Yuker’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
- 6:53 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, South SR 25, east of South CR 400W, Warsaw. Driver: Ronald R. Scott, 78, South CR 900W, Mentone. Scott was traveling west on South SR 25 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 12:32 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2216 North Pointe Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Bruce R. Catt, 53, South Michigan Street 2, Lakeville. Catt was backing his vehicle when he hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 10:43 a.m. Friday, June 3, SR 15, south of Canal Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Timothy P. Dill, 65, Idlewood Drive, Osceola; and William H. French, 60, South Chester Road, Charlotte, Mich. Dill was traveling north on SR 15 when he rear-ended French’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 1 a.m. Friday, June 3, US 30, near East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Todd M. Derudder, 50, South Harvard Avenue, Arlington Heights, Ill.; and William E. Molenar, 31, Fort Dix Road, Pemberton, N.J. Derudder was traveling west on US 30 when he rear-ended Molenar’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 2:16 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, Mariners Drive and Husky Trail, Warsaw. Driver: Noah D. Schmidt, 22, St. Augustine Drive, Warsaw. Schmidt’s vehicle hit a sign. Damage: Up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, Court Street, near Auditorium Boulevard, Winona Lake. Driver: William R. Oswalt, 75, Circle Drive, Huntington. Oswalt was driving a tour bus when he hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
