Woman, 60, Arrested For Allegedly Dealing Fake Heroin

WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested after dealing a counterfeit substance to a confidential informant.
Donna Jean Heiny, 60, 223 W. Jefferson St., Warsaw, is charged with dealing a counterfeit substance, a level 6 felony.
On May 12, the NET43 Drug Task Force made a controlled purchase of heroin from Heiny. In exchange for documented task force funds, an informant received 0.69 grams of a counterfeit substance.
At the time of this incident, Heiny had an active pre-trial diversion agreement for methamphetamine possession. The agreement was for 18 months and began on June 14, 2021.
Heiny has already been arrested and released on her own recognizance.
