Kendallville Woman Arrested In Theft Of Vehicle From Warsaw Car Rental

WARSAW — A Kendallville woman was recently arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle from a Warsaw business.
Elizabeth A. Shadle, 38, 310 Ashton Drive, Kendallville, is charged with theft of a vehicle, a level 6 felony.
On July 7, 2020, a Warsaw Police officer responded to Enterprise Rent-A-Car regarding a report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer spoke with an employee about the vehicle.
According to court documents, the employee said Shadle rented a blue 2020 Nissan Altima from Enterprise Rent-A-Car on April 6, 2020. As of May 18, 2020, Shadle stopped making payments on the vehicle.
Enterprise representatives attempted to contact Shadle via phone and mail, advising her to return the vehicle by June 7, 2020. As of July 7, 2020, Shadle had not returned the vehicle to Enterprise.
Two weeks later, on July 20, 2020, Warsaw Police officers were notified that the stolen vehicle was found in West Virginia. Shadle was inside the stolen vehicle when it was found.
For this case, Shadle was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 2, 2022, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
