Graduations, First Friday, And Plenty More This Weekend

WARSAW — If people opt to stay at home this weekend, it won’t be for a lack of something to do.
Events happening Friday, June 3, through Sunday, June 5, include four high schools graduation ceremonies, First Friday in Warsaw, the Mentone Egg Festival and more.
Here is a quick update:
Graduations
Whitko High School’s graduation will be 6:30 p.m. Friday in the gym.
Warsaw Community High School’s graduation is set for 7 p.m. Friday at Fisher Field.
Wawasee High School’s graduation is 2 p.m. Sunday in the gym.
Tippecanoe Valley High School’s graduation is set for 2:45 p.m. Sunday in the gym. The baccalaureate is prior to that at 2 p.m.
Egg Fest
The Mentone Egg Festival has plenty of activities going on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s events include a car, truck and motorcycle show and Saturday’s a parade, the crowning of Miss Mentone and the Miss Chick and Mr. Rooster contest.

Tractor show
Also in Mentone, Echoes of the Past is having a tractor show at the airport at 12296 W. 600S. It’s from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. More information can be found by clicking here.
First Friday
Main Street Warsaw’s First Friday is June 3. It features a talent show starting at 5:30 p.m. judged by Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer, Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts Executive Director Lakesha Green and Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice Executive Director Glenn Hall.
There are plenty of other things to enjoy during the event, which runs from 5-8 p.m. A list of activities may be found here.
Also part of First Friday is a special exhibit honoring the Warsaw Speedway, and a Hall of Fame induction ceremony at 7 p.m. for it.
Free concert
Kennedy’s Kitchen will perform Irish music from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the Lucerne Park Amphitheater. The free event is part of Warsaw’s Summer Concert series.
Fishing Derby
The Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department is having a kids’ fishing derby from 8-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Center Lake. For more information, click here.
Art Fair
The Village Art Fair is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Put on by The Village at Winona, the event is to feature numerous art vendors as well as food, music and kids’ activities.
Queen pageant
The Miss Kosciusko County Fair Queen Pageant is set for 7 p.m. Saturday in the Shrine Building at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.
