Personal Finance Part Of JCAP Session With LCB Volunteers
News Release
WARSAW — Inmates in Kosciusko County’s Jail Chemical Addiction Program recently received some advice on personal finance.
JCAP welcomed Austin Bair, Brittni Kuhn and Sheryl Harlan from Lake City Bank last week for a personal budgeting class.
The guys enjoyed playing a fun budgeting game and then discussed wants vs. needs, how to trim a budget and how to effectively plan financially for the future.
The men were given ideas on how to record daily expenses and spending, the importance of monthly finance reviews and how to plan responsible rewards for sticking to their financial goals.
This budgeting class goes hand in hand with their financial literacy class led by 1st Source Bank.
“Bringing in as many resources for our participants as we can has always been a goal, thankfully we live in an amazing community that aids JCAP with classes inside the jail and continued help support upon release,” said JCAP Coordinator Courtney Jenkins.
