CLAYPOOL — A house fire on the southeast edge of Beaver Dam Lake was quickly put out by local fire departments.

Shortly before 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, Burket Fire Department responded to a house fire at 7313 W. Wasp Way, Claypool.

Initial reports said there was heavy smoke coming from the home.

The fire was reported under control about 20 minutes after the initial dispatch.

No injuries were reported. According to Kosciusko County Beacon GIS, the property is owned by Hubert and Gearlean Howard.

Silver Lake Fire Department and Four-Way Ambulance EMS also assisted at the scene.
