UFOs Topic Of Congressional Subcommittee Hearing Tuesday
Staff Report
WARSAW — An Indiana congressman is about to do something that hasn’t happened in 50 years – hold a congressional committee hearing on UFOs.

Andre Carson
U.S. Rep. Andre Carson will lead the House Intelligence’s Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, and Counterproliferation Subcommittee hearing on Tuesday morning, May 17.
The subcommittee oversees the intelligence community’s ability to collect against and provide timely intelligence on terrorists, WMD proliferators, hard targets and other malign actors.
The hearing starts at 10 a.m. and is expected to focus on the national security and the flight safety issues caused by the presence of UFOs.
The hearing comes less than six months after the National Defense Authorization Act required the military to establish a permanent UFO research office and take a series of other steps to collect and investigate reports of “unidentified aerial phenomena.”
Two military leaders are scheduled to speak.
The public can watch the hearing live on the House Intelligence’s YouTube channel.
The last time the government held a public hearing on UFOs was in 1969, when it announced the termination of Project Blue Book, an Air Force program that was investigating UFOs.
