Dear Editor,

I would like to encourage anyone reading this letter to consider Scott Clay for county council. I’ve known Scott as a client, a customer, a salesperson, a businessman, and a fellow Optimist Club member. In all of these roles and interactions, he is consistently focused, professional,  yet always willing to listen, and most importantly is open to discussion with those who have differing opinions.

I am sometimes humored by his youth and energy, but when I am, I am reminded his lack of life experiences is part of the path we all take.  His journey seems to be faster, he learns more quickly and everything always comes from his heart and a desire to do better both for himself and for his community. For this reason alone, he is worthy of your consideration.

I do want to thank all who are running this election cycle. I appreciate you putting yourself out there and making yourself subject to all of the questions, and ridicule that candidates must endure. Thank you for your willingness to serve.
