Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 6:07 p.m. Thursday, April 28, East 8 Square Road, near North CR 250E, Warsaw. An unknown driver appeared to be turning a gray 2008 Hyundai Sonata right onto 8 Square Road when the vehicle left the roadway, rolled one time and came to a rest on a guide wire for a utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:29 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, North SR 13, north of East CR 800N, Syracuse. Drivers: Chandra E. Barry, 30, East Asbury Lane, North Webster; Douglas H. Kempf, 63, Chiswell Run, Avilla; and Sarah E. Hurst, 40, North Dogleg Drive East, Syracuse. Barry was traveling south on North SR 13 when her vehicle went left of the centerline, hitting Kempf’s vehicle and then leaving the roadway. Barr’s vehicle hit a tree and overturned. Debris from the accident hit Hurst’s vehicle. Barry was taken to Parkview Regional Hospital for head pain. Kempf was taken to a location in Kendallville for chest pain. Damage up to $50,000.
- 8:11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, West US 30, west of North CR 650W, Warsaw. Drivers: Donald R. Miller, 69, North Park Avenue, Warsaw; and Luke J. Martin, 34, Huber Road, Hicksville, Ohio. Miller was traveling west on West US 30 and continued straight in his lane at the intersection of CR 650W when he realized he was actually in the left turn lane for CR 650W. When he attempted to continue traveling west, Miller’s vehicle turned into the path of Martin’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
