Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 8:34 a.m. Thursday, April 21, South SR 15, north of West CR 1200S, Silver Lake. Driver: Jamie T. Walters, 43, Soggy Bottom Lane, Poplarville, Miss. Walters was traveling north on South SR 15 when his vehicle left the roadway and hit a fence. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:59 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 3350 Lake City Highway, south of Frontage Road, Warsaw. Driver: Joshua A. Saylor, 44, North Sullivan Road, Leesburg. Saylor’s vehicle was parked when it sustained damage. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 6:59 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 823 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw. Driver: Brian J. Elliott, 50, Country Club Lane, Warsaw. Elliott was parked at a gas pump at Speedway when an unrelated vehicle parked close to his. This caused Elliott to try and maneuver his vehicle away from the gas pump. Elliott’s vehicle hit the gas pump, causing the pump to knock over and catch on fire. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $50,000.
- 11:14 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, Dubois Drive, near Provident Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Ruth A. Bougie, 66, North Beechwood Street, Warsaw. Bougie was traveling south on Provident Drive when she hit a “Do Not Enter” sign. Damage up to $2,500.
- 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, East Market Street, near South Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Mimi S. LaRue, 69, South Maple Grove Lane, Warsaw; and Gina S. Rockey, 52, West CR 400S 57, Columbia City. LaRue was traveling west on East Market Street when she rear-ended Rockey’s vehicle. Rockey complained of head and neck pain and was taken to a local hospital. Damage up to $5,000.
