PIERCETON — No one was injured after a fire started in a dust collector on the outside of a building at Paragon Medical in Pierceton.
The fire was reported about 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 15. It was outside the eastern-most building on Paragon’s property at 8 Matchett Drive.
“When we arrived on scene, we found a fully involved dust collector on the east end of the building,” Pierceton Fire Chief Gordon Baker told InkFreeNews.
While the fire did not spread indoors, some smoke did enter the building. Pierceton had Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and Silver Lake Fire Department use special Titus ventilation fans to air out the building.
Also responding to the scene Friday were the Winona Lake Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Pierceton Police Department.
