Gary Lee Black Sr.
WARSAW – Gary Lee Black Sr., 64, Warsaw, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in Norton Audubon Hospital of Louisville, Ky.
He was born to Ray G. and Marjorie L. (Zorn) Black on March 21, 1958, in Warsaw. He has been a lifetime Warsaw resident. He worked at Warsaw Foundry in his youth and most recently for Gene Fenix on Silos. He loved fishing, his life partner: Vicky Murfitt, and his son: Gary L. Black, Jr.
Gary is survived by his son: Gary L. Black Jr., Warsaw; his life partner: Vicky Murfitt, Kentucky; his sister and brother-in-law: Marcia and Joseph Sanburn, Warsaw; his sister: Connie Bell, Warsaw; his sister and brother-in-law: Debra and Alan Johnson, Warsaw; his sister and brother-in-law: Kathy and Brent Lursen, Leesburg; brother-in-laws: Max Egolf, Atwood; Bernie Loer, Kokomo, and many nieces and nephews.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents: Ray and Marjorie Black; his sisters: Sharon K. Egolf and Judy E. Loer; his brothers: Danny Black and Larry M. Black; and his brother-in-law: Lance T Bell.
A visitation is planned from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A celebration of life will begin at noon in the funeral chapel, with Pastor Bob Jarboe officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
