WARSAW — Warsaw Community Public Library’s Board of Trustees approved three policy revisions during a meeting on Monday, April 11.
An addition was made to the library’s remote work policy. WCPL Director Ann Zydek said remote work will be handled on a case-by-case basis per each employee. Full-time employees may be allowed to work remotely up to eight hours per week. Twenty-hour staffers may be allowed to work remotely up to four hours per week.
“We wanted to show that remote work is possible, but it is case-by-case and that it’s something that (Business Manager) Renee (Sweeny) or I have to pre-approve,” said Zydek. “We’re trying to seek a balance between remote and in-person, on-site work.”
Zydek said there are a couple employees who work some hours remotely.
Slight revisions to the library’s materials collection fees and capital asset policies were also both approved. Hotspots that are now three days overdue will be set to lost. An explanation on depreciation of capital assets was added to WCPL’s capital asset policy.
The board’s next meeting is at 4 p.m. Monday, May 9.
