Bell Memorial Public Library Hosting Easter Egg Hunt Tuesday

MENTONE — Bell Memorial Public Library will host an Easter Egg hunt on Tuesday, April 12.
The hunt is for children ages 2 to 10. Two- to five-year-olds will hunt for eggs from 4:30-5 p.m. and six- to 10-year-olds will hunt from 5:30-6 p.m.
Junior Book Club will meet from 4:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12.
Teen Craft Night will take place from 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, April 14. Kids will be making flower bookmarks. All supplies needed are provided at no cost.
All Winter Reading Challenge participants need to return their completed reading logs to BMPL no later than April 11.
Parents can also bring younger children to preschool story hour every Friday, except holidays, beginning at 10 a.m. Children listen to a few stories, sing songs and create a craft project. Themes change weekly.
Patrons can also borrow toys from BMPL. Toys are loaned for three weeks and if you need to keep them longer, call the library. To see a small sampling of toys, visit www.bellmpl.info.
BMPL is also offering Book Buddies Kits, which are a collection of books, games, puppets and toys all grouped around a theme. Each kit contains various items that children can manipulate and move to encourage their imagination and learning development. These are a fantastic way to share reading experiences with the family and encourages participation from everyone, establishing a love of reading. Book Buddies kits are appropriate for children three years of age and older. They can be checked out for up to one week. BMPL has 24 kits total, each with a different theme.
