Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 4:04 a.m. Friday, April 8, East SR 14, west of South CR 600E, Claypool. Driver: Darrell Z. Anderson, 59, East Columbia Street, South Whitley. Anderson’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage: Up to $5,000.
• 7:11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, West Hill Lake Road, east of South CR 400W, Claypool. Driver: Jared A. Hurd, 29, West Hughes Drive, Silver Lake. Hurd’s vehicle hit a deer. Hurd complained of hand pain from the airbag, but refused EMS. Damage: Up to $5,000.
• 9:55 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, East CR 900N, north of North Old SR 15, Milford. Drivers: Jeremy R. Larson, 33, North SR 19, Roann; and John L. Miller, 50, Obispo Street, Culver. Larson said he pulled onto SR 15 and saw a vehicle coming. He then backed up and went too far, hitting Miller’s vehicle that was behind him. Damage: Up to $2,500.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident: 

• 6:35 p.m. Thursday, April 7, South SR 15 and East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Lance C. Hunt, 23, West Market Street, Wabash; and Elizabeth Harrison, 52, South Woodland Circle, Warsaw. Hunt switched lanes at the intersection to travel in the way that he wanted. He didn’t see Harrison’s vehicle in the lane that he was switching to and his vehicle hit hers. Hunt was cited for not having insurance. Damage: Up to $5,000.
