ATWOOD — At least three people were taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle accident just west of Atwood.

Shortly before 2:45 p.m. Thursday, April 7, Etna Township and Atwood Fire Departments responded to a vehicle accident in the eastbound lanes of US 30, near the CR 800W intersection.

A silver passenger car and white SUV were involved in the accident. The car sustained damage to its right passenger side and the SUV had damage to its front.

Lutheran EMS, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Etna Township First Responders, and Indiana State Police assisted at the scene.

The white SUV involved in the accident sustained front-end damage, causing its airbags to deploy.
