Many Events To Enjoy At Warsaw Library

WARSAW — The following are just some of the events Warsaw Community Public Library is offering during the month of April.
Spring Break Lego Club meets from 1-5:30 p.m. April 8, and again from 10:30 a.m. to noon April 9. Drop in and build solo or as a group. WCPL supplies the Legos; you supply the creativity. Adult guardians are asked to remain in the library during the event.
A special guest from the Winona Lake Post Office will read “The Giving Tree” by author Shel Silverstein during Preschool Story Time at 10:15 a.m. April 11. Silverstein will be honored with a Forever stamp featuring his artwork from the book. Those ages 3 to 5 will enjoy an interactive experience using songs and age-appropriate activities. Treat bags provided by the post office will be available while supplies last.
The Friends of the Library Story Emporium Bookstore will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 16 and 30; and 1-3:30 p.m. April 22 and 29. The bookstore is located at the library and features sale items each week.
Paint a scene full of spring blooms and a birdhouse with Carl Mosher at 5:30 p.m. April 18. The class fee of $25 covers all supplies and instruction to complete an 11×14 canvas. Payment is due at advance registration by cash or check.
Volunteers from American Greyhound will be in the children’s area from 6-7:30 p.m. April 18. Children with all reading levels are encouraged to drop in to spend time with the dogs and read to them.
Kids are invited to play Minecraft Education Edition at 4:30 p.m. April 19. Play on a library device or bring your own. This event is for ages 6 to 12. Please register in advance to guarantee your spot.
