Silver Lake Man Arrested For Threats

SILVER LAKE — A Silver Lake man was recently arrested after allegedly threatening to kill a man.
Jeremy Michael Learned, 29, 3531 W. SR 14, Silver Lake, is charged with intimidation, a level 6 felony.
On Feb. 2, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a report of a threat made in the Silver Lake area. The deputy spoke with a man who said he sent a message to someone asking if Learned had some of his stolen property. The man said an individual messaged him a threat from Learned.
According to court documents, the man said he has not directly spoken to Learned in a long time and that Learned has blocked him on all communication networks.
The man received forwarded messages from Learned via the individual who contacted him. The messages were threatening in nature, with Learned threatening to kill the man.
The deputy spoke with the individual, who said he did forward messages from Learned that were threatening in nature. He said he was asked to forward the messages to the man by Learned.
Learned told the deputy he did send the messages to the person, but did not intend the messages to be sent to the man. Learned admitted to threatening to kill the man in the messages.
Learned was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on April 1, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
