Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 7:19 a.m. Sunday, April 3, East CR 600S, west of South CR 100E, Claypool. Driver: Brandon A. Shambarger, 32, East Harrison Street, Claypool. Shambarger was traveling west on CR 600W when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 6:09 p.m. Saturday, April 2, North Kern Road, north of East CR 1200N, Syracuse. Driver: Jonathan W. Connolly, 28, Parkwood Drive, Nappanee. Connolly was traveling north on North Kern Road when his vehicle left the roadway and entered a field. His vehicle hit an REMC utility pole, shearing it in half. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:24 a.m. Saturday, April 2, North CR 300E, south of East CR 450N, Warsaw. Driver: Stephen J. Cromer, 63, North Maple Way, Leesburg. Cromer was traveling south on CR 300E when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 6:10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, West CR 350S, east of South CR 450W, Warsaw. Driver: Abigail J. Blackburn, 22, West CR 900S, Silver Lake. Blackburn was traveling west on West CR 350S when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 4 a.m. Saturday, April 2, East Pierceton Road, near South CR 500E, Pierceton. Driver: Breanna X. Stephens, 21, West Baker Street, Warsaw. Stephens was traveling west on Pierceton Road when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 1:37 p.m. Thursday, March 31, South Huntington Street, north of East Lynwood Drive, Syracuse. Drivers: Seth A. Callaway, 39, East Main Street C., North Manchester; and Hannah J. Garwood, 22, South SR 13 15, North Manchester. Callaway was traveling north on South Huntington Street when he rear-ended Garwood’s vehicle. Callaway complained of back and ankle pain. He was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $10,000.
- 6 p.m. Monday, March 28, 901 S. Huntington St., east of East Palm Drive, Syracuse. Driver: unknown. A vehicle registered to Timothy E. Benner, Goshen, was hit by an unknown driver while it was parked. Damage under $750.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 9:46 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 220 W. Market St., Warsaw. Drivers: Anthony B. May, 26, South Valentine Road, Claypool; and Ashton D. Greene, 18, West CR 300N, Warsaw. May was backing his vehicle from a parking space when he backed into Greene’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 6:33 p.m. Saturday, April 2, Frontage Road, near Eastlake Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Susan R. Love, 47, Brookview Avenue, Warsaw; and Amber L. Marsillett, 33, 18B Road, Tippecanoe. Love was traveling west on Frontage Road when she rear-ended Marsillett’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
- 6:04 p.m. Saturday, April 2, Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Driver: unknown. A McDonald’s employee said a male driver with a U-Haul bent the “order here” sign at the restaurant. The driver who caused the damage was later located by officers. Damage up to $2,500.
- 2:18 p.m. Saturday, April 2, SR 15, near East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Morgynn L. Summers, 23, West CR 550N, Warsaw; and Daren D. Granger, 42, South Stonebridge Road, Warsaw. Summers was traveling south on SR 15 and had a green light to turn left at the East Winona Avenue intersection. She turned left in front of Granger’s vehicle, which was traveling north. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 1:13 p.m. Friday, April 1, East Center Street, west of North Park Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Abbey K. Kammerer, 25, South Brubaker Street, Leesburg; and Paula L. Leece, 56, East Irvington Avenue, South Bend. Kammerer was stopped in traffic near the intersection of East Center Street when she rear-ended Leece’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 7:23 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, North Parker Street, north of Husky Trail, Warsaw. Drivers: Christian A. Jacobs, 26, EMS D17 Lane, Syracuse; and Jonathon R. Beiler, 18, Lydia Drive, Warsaw. Jacobs was traveling north on North Parker Street and stopped at the Husky Trail intersection. While turning left, he hit Beiler’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
