Warsaw High School Students Compete In Envirothon Contest

WARSAW — Warsaw Community High School teams excelled at the Northeast Regional Envirothon Contest in Columbia City.
Not only did the senior team consisting of Claire Walker, Harrison Phipps, Cadence Gibson, Rachel Doyle, and Katelynn Boyle win the contest and the opportunity to compete at the state level, but the JV team of juniors Daniela Islas, Cordelia Grandon, Grace Friedberg, and Piper Ellis, and sophomore Bronwyn Harrison placed third overall.
The students were tested in five areas: aquatic ecology, forestry, soils, wildlife, and the current issue topic of waste to resources. You can find more information about the contest online.
Teams will travel to Connor Prairie in Fishers on April 27.
