ONE Warsaw’s Celebrating Us Set For April 30
News Release
WARSAW — ONE Warsaw’s annual Celebrating Us festival is set for Saturday, April 30.
The event from 4-8 p.m. will be a celebration of inclusion in the community. There will be information booths, cultural dance, music and performers and new foods to try.
“It’s time to celebrate our differences and experience other cultural traditions including food, dancing, and music!” said ONE Warsaw Board Treasurer Heather Lardino.
“When we celebrate our differences and what we share in common, we open the door for a more diverse and inclusive environment,” added ONE Warsaw Board Vice President Roberto Perez-de-Frias. “As author Andres Tapia wrote: ‘Diversity is the mix. Inclusion is making the mix work.’ Let’s #CelebrateUs and make the mix work!”
Featured foods include: Locally sourced, authentic pulled pork from 110 Craft Meatery; authentic Indian cuisine with vegan options from Biryani Kitchen; lots of Mexican options from Tacos Jalisco food truck; and vegetarian options from Bomy’s Authentic Indian Food.
More will be announced later.
Featured performers include Lee Anne Stewart’s dancers; Ballet Folklorico de Nuestra dancers; South Bend Latin dancers; Gary Gerard band; saxophonist Charles Cotton; Omotayo Rite of Passage; and Marena Moonflower.
Performance times will be announced as the date gets closer.
