Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko  County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

• 3:26 p.m., Feb. 15 – On East CR 1300N, near Milford. Driver said he fell asleep before driving off the road and striking a pole. Driver: Michael Stover, 54, North CR 900E, North Webster. Damage: Up to $50,000.
• 5:01 p.m., Feb. 15 – On SR 13 near Grandview Drive outside of Syracuse. Drivers collided. Drivers: Lavivian Hagan, 80, South Barbee Drive, Pierceton; April Brown,  44, CR 37, Syracuse. Damages up to $100,000.
• 3:58 p.m. Feb. 16 – On East CR 700N, east of CR 200E near Leesburg. Driver hit a patch of water, lost control and struck a pole. Driver: Judith Stieby-Raska, 39, North CR 500E, Syracuse. Damage up to $10,000.

Warsaw

• 6:36 p.m., Feb. 15 – at 419 W. Perry St., Warsaw. Driver’s vehicle slide into his residence. Driver: Wesley Morris, 62, of the same address. Damages up to $10,000.

Winona Lake

• 4:11 a.m. Feb. 17 – On Kings Highway and School Street, Winona Lake. Driver struck two landscaping rocks and the vehicle flipped over. The driver, Michael Peterson, 64, Roy Street, Winona Lake, died in the accident. Damage up to $1,000.

Elkhart County

Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

• 11:53 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, SR 13, north of CR 146, north of Syracuse. Drivers: Christina Golden, 59, Warsaw; and Walker Klopfenstein, 25, Kendalville. Injured: Golden complained of side pain. Matthew Miller, 30, Wawaka, a passenger in Klopfenstein’s vehicle complained of head pain. Both were transported to Goshen Health. Golden attempted to turn her vehicle left into a driveway in front of Klopfenstein’s vehicle. She was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

Fulton County

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 8:38 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, North SR 25 and North CR 825E, Mentone. Sabrina N. Wilder, 44, Rochester. Wilder’s vehicle slid off the roadway.
• 12:10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, North SR 25 and North CR 825E, Mentone. Jill Lewis, no further information available. Lewis’ vehicle struck a raccoon. Occurred on Feb. 7.
• 5:55 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, SR 14 and CR 1100W, Kewanna. Driver: Brock A. Huber, 25, Winamac. Huber’s vehicle rolled over.
