According to a probable cause affidavit, on Jan. 31, a Warsaw police officer was notified by dispatch that a caller was reporting that their child was molested by Adamson.
The parent and child went to the Warsaw Police station for an interview. The parent said their child told them that Adamson molested the child multiple times. The parent also told the officer that the child said Adamson told the child that if they told anyone about the abuse he would kill someone else and then the child.
On. Jan. 31, the child told an interviewer at Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center that Adamson molested them on four occasions, including one time outside of the county.
The child said they were molested between January 2012-November 2012. The child said they were sleeping in a room, and Adamson was playing his game in another room. Adamson then removed the child’s clothes and starting touching them. He did several sexual things with them.
The child also said they were molested by Adamson when he lived in a certain apartment, which he rented between January 2013-January 2014.
During an incident, Adamson asked the child to bring him water. When the child brought him water, he grabbed their wrist and started to remove their clothes.
The child cried out, and Adamson told them to be quiet. Adamson also did several sexual things with the child.
After the incidents, Adamson told the child that if they told anyone, he would kill someone else and then the child.
The child said the last time they were sexually assaulted was in May 2021. Adamson entered a room and told the child to hang up from a call. He forced himself on the child. The child told him “No” several times and tried to push him away.
The child said Adamson threatened to tell someone else what was happening with a relationship the child was in. The child said they would tell someone else about Adamson molesting them in the past.
After Adamson left the room, the child called someone and ended up telling them what had just happened and about the prior incidents. The child made the person promise not to report the information because they were afraid of Adamson.
Soon after that incident, the child typed a digital note to someone else detailing the May 2021 incident and the prior ones. Investigators found the note in the child’s phone with a particular date in May 2021.
The child reported being afraid that Adamson would hurt someone else because he previously went to prison. Adamson was previously convicted in Grant Superior Court 2 on Nov. 5, 2012, on several charges.
During a police interview, Adamson denied ever touching the child and walking in on them when they were on a call with someone else. Adamson told an officer that he suffered from erectile dysfunction and had lost his sex drive about eight years ago.
Adamson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Jan. 31 on a $120,750 surety and cash bond. He also was required to not leave the state and surrender all firearms in his possession or under his control as part of the bond requirements.
