Single-Car Accident In Syracuse Injures One

SYRACUSE — A single-car accident occurred in Syracuse around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12.
A female driver was traveling on East CR 1400 North, Syracuse, near North Workman Drive, when the vehicle struck a NIPSCO pole after swerving off the road, before coming to rest in a grassy area.
The vehicle sustained serious front-end damage. The bumper was resting up against the utility pole and debris was scattered alongside the road.
The driver, Natalie Wymer, was taken to Goshen General Hospital by ambulance. Two children were also in the vehicle. No information was available about the children.
Syracuse Police Department, Turkey Creek Fire Department, and Turkey Creek EMS responded to the scene.
