Paulette Sue Holsinger
Paulette Sue Holsinger, 73, of The Villages, Fla, passed away at 7:44 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at UF Health The Villages Hospital.
She was born on May 30, 1948, in Rochester, to Rex E. Parker and Phyllis Geraldine (Tucker) Parker. She married Alan Holsinger on Aug. 28, 1970, and they were blessed with 51 years together.
Paulette graduated from Silver Lake High School in Silver Lake, in 1966, and she earned her associate’s degree at Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana. She lived the majority of her life as a homemaker on a farm in Claypool, Indiana and then moved to The Villages, Fla.
She enjoyed playing cards, pickleball and golfing, especially with her weekly ladies group. She was a faithful Christian who read her Bible daily and attended Center United Methodist Church in Silver Lake and later, New Covenant United Methodist Church in The Villages, Florida. Paulette will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She leaves behind her husband, Alan Holsinger, of The Villages, Fla.; son, Jeff Holsinger, of Lady Lake, Fla.; daughter, Amy McCaw, and husband Jason, of Fort Wayne; brother, Terry Parker, of Silver Lake; two grandchildren, Ethan and Seth; and several nieces and nephews. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lynn Parker.
A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Lakeview Cemetery in Silver Lake, and officiated by Rev. Kent Harting. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
