SYRACUSE — Santa Claus arranged to make an appearance at the Breakfast with Santa event for three hours Saturday morning, Dec. 4, at the Syracuse Community Center.
Children — and some adults — had their photos taken with Santa. Breakfast was served featuring pancakes and sausage. Milk and cookies were served by the Boy Scouts.
There were also Christmas crafts made in the Celebration Hall and in the Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum Jamie Clemons, director, passed out reindeer food with instructions on what to do with it.
For about one hour the Wawasee High School Christmas Band directed by Tony Pawlicki performed.
The event was hosted by the Wawasee Kiwanis Club, Syracuse Knights of Columbus Council 6323, Syracuse Boy Scout Troop 728, Syracuse Parks and Recreation, Lakeland Youth Center, Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum, Neighborhood Fresh and the Syracuse Public Library.
- Lucas Muir, left, was helped by his dad, David Muir, while making a gingerbread man craft.
