Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 6:33 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, Chapman Lake Drive, north of EMS C23 Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Anthony J. Doyle, 50, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Doyle was traveling north on Chapman Lake Drive when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 1:14 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, West US 30, west of North Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Stephen J. Maggi, 50, West Cortez Circle No. 20, Franklin, Wis. Maggi was traveling east on West US 30 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 8:01 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 11481 N. SR 13, west of East Waco Drive, Syracuse. Driver: unknown. Jason M. Wells, Columbia City, said his vehicle was parked and unoccupied when it sustained damage. The driver who caused the damage left the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
- 6:08 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, East Prairie Street, east of South Harrison Street, Leesburg. Driver: Jason J. Locke, 50, East Prairie Street, Leesburg. Locke was traveling west on East Prairie Street when he rear-ended a parked pick-up truck. The truck was parked legally on the north side of the road and was unoccupied. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $50,000.
- 5:56 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, East SR 14, west of Mile Marker #6608, Sidney. Driver: Cecilia M. Burchett, 27, Snyder Street, Wabash. Burchett was traveling west when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $1,000.
- 3:26 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, North CR 300E, near East CR 750N, Leesburg. Driver: Jonathan M. Miller, 33, South Roosevelt Street, Warsaw. Miller was traveling south on North CR 300E when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 8:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, North CR 650E, south of East CR 100N, Warsaw. Driver: Deloris K. Vanderpool, 78, East Arthur Street A4, Warsaw. Vanderpool was traveling south on North CR 650E when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:42 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, North Syracuse Webster Road, south of East CR 1200N, Syracuse. Driver: Kennedy L. Templeton, 18, East Pleasant Grove Drive, Warsaw. Templeton was traveling north on North Syracuse Webster Road when she said she noticed a pick-up truck driving left of center. She swerved her vehicle to miss the truck, causing her vehicle to overcorrect and leave the roadway, entering a yard at 11931 N. Syracuse Webster Road, Syracuse. Templeton was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 2:16 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, North CR 200W, north of West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Phillip E. Nelson, 79, East Market Street, Warsaw. Nelson was traveling north on CR 200W when he inadvertently drove into a ditch on the right side of the roadway. His vehicle rolled onto its side. Nelson sustained a minor head injury. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 11:13 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, North SR 13, south of Channel Street, North Webster. Drivers: Samuel J. Neher, 66, South Detroit Street, Warsaw; and Brian J. Scott, 48, West Effie Mae Street, North Webster. Neher was traveling south on SR 13 when he rear-ended Scott’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 7:29 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 730 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Driver: unknown. Jason C. Stoner, Milford, said he was at a store and didn’t notice any damage to his vehicle when he left. When he pulled into a restaurant, he was informed that his back tire was flat. Stoner’s vehicle had damage to its right passenger headlight and front right bumper. Stoner was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 9:04 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, North SR 15, near East CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Leester L. England, 52, East Water Street No. 12, Akron; and Amanda N. West, 19, North Ashford Court, Warsaw. England was traveling north on North SR 15 when she thought her light was green and proceeded into an intersection. West was already in the intersection and England’s vehicle hit West’s. West said her light was green. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 10:51 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, North McKinley Street, near East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Aubrey E. Gates, 29, North Parker Street No. 4, Warsaw; and Manuela Vallejo, 49, Cambridge Drive, Warsaw. Gates was traveling west on East Main Street and had stopped at an intersection’s stop sign. She did not see Vallejo’s vehicle, which was traveling south through the intersection. Vallejo had the right-of-way and did not have a stop sign for southbound traffic. Gates complained of lower left arm pain and was treated by medics at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.
- 3:06 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, South Zimmer Road, north of West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Brittney A. Oswalt, 33, South CR 600W, Mentone; and Stanley M. Pollard, 82, South Collier Street, Bremen. Oswalt was traveling south on South Zimmer Road when she was rear-ended by Pollard’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 819 N. Detroit St., Warsaw. Driver: unknown. Hayli A. Parker, Warsaw, said she left her vehicle parked in a parking lot when it sustained a scuff mark to its passenger door. The driver who caused the damage to her vehicle left the scene. Damage up to $1,000.
