Michigan Advising Use Of Masks For Indoor Gatherings
Staff Report
LANSING – Michigan announced a new advisory on Friday, Nov. 19, saying that all residents two years or older should wear a face mask at indoor gatherings regardless of vaccination status.
Michigan’s State Department of Health and Human Services also advises public establishments to begin implementing mask policies and urges those who are not vaccinated to avoid large crowds.
The advisory comes as Michigan faces its highest surge of COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began and less then a week before the Thanksgiving holiday.
The advisory will remain in effect until further notice, the state said.
