Wheels On Fire Cancer Crusaders Deliver Money To Three Groups

AKRON — Beaver Dam United Methodist Church of Akron’s Wheels on Fire-Cancer Crusaders on Sunday, Nov. 14, presented $50,000 combined to three organizations that help those battling cancer in Kosciusko and Fulton counties.
Wheels on Fire raised the funds through various activities over the past year, including its Smash Out Cancer event this summer.
One of the organizations to benefit was Project Hope run by Kim Waggoner, which received $6,000. She gives out cancer care packs to local patients.
The Fulton County Cancer Fund and Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County received $22,000. Both serve in ways to help pay for items like gas and other miscellaneous expenses for those battling cancer locally.
Over the past six years, Wheels on Fire has given out more than $161,000 to organizations helping those battling cancer in the area.
