UPDATE: Two Vehicles Collide At CR 1300N And CR 300E

MILFORD — Two people remain in Fort Wayne Hospitals with head injuries following a two-vehicle collision at CR 1300N (Syracuse-Milford Road) and CR 300E (Dewart Lake Road) Friday evening, Oct. 29. The collision occurred at 7:01 p.m.
Jordan N. Brooks, 23, CR 350N, Pierceton; and Kailer V. Slusser, 24, Grasslands Lane, Goshen, both suffered head injuries and were transported to Parkview and Lutheran hospitals in Fort Wayne. The condition of the two are not known. According to the accident report by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Slusser was not restrained when the accident occurred. Brooks was extricated from the vehicle.
Also injured was Molly M. Knafel, 17, East Beer Road, Milford; and a passenger in her vehicle, Ronald E. Knafel, 56, East Beer Road, Milford. Molly Knafel complained of pain to the ankle. Ronald Knafel complained of pain to his wrist..
Police report Knafel was eastbound on CR 1300N in the area of CR 300E in a 2010 Chevrolet, and Brooks, was northbound on CR 300E in a 2013 Hyundai Accent. Knafel told police that Brooks did not stop at the stop sign and continued into the intersection and into the lane of travel of her vehicle. Knafel’s vehicle collided with the driver’s side of Brooks’ vehicle.
Both Brooks and Slusser were unconscious at the scene.
Damage was estimated up to $25,000.
Responding to the scene were Turkey Creek Fire Territory, Milford Fire Department, Lutheran EMS and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
